Presented in partnership with the Institute of Philanthropy, the 2024 Gairdner Global Health Symposium held on October 25 focused on "Pandemic Preparedness: From Vaccine Technology to Global Health Policy."
Inspired by the work of Dr. Gagandeep Kang, the 2024 John Dirks Canada Gairdner Global Health Award laureate, the symposium featured experts discussing innovations in vaccine development and strategies for effective global health responses to future pandemics. The event emphasized the importance of integrating scientific advancements with policy-making to enhance global health security.
