A Public Lecture by Guy Rouleau – In-person and Online

Developing a vaccine in months instead of years has stunned many. What if this becomes the norm in research?

The Montreal Neurological Hospital Institute, The Neuro, has become a world leader in open science. Putting an end to patents and research secrecy, the institute offers all researchers free access to its biological sample bank and to its data, which accelerates the sharing of discoveries in medication.

Results? More collaborations between scientists, universities and the pharmaceutical industry, and ultimately much faster scientific discoveries.

A very real story of science, revolutionizing research as it is done today.

Guy Rouleau, neurologist and researcher, is director of the Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital (The Neuro). He is a Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University, as well as Director of the Department of Neuroscience at the McGill University Health Center. In 2020, he received the Order of Canada for his outstanding contribution to clinical health research and the Canada Gairdner Wightman Award for his leadership in medicine and medical sciences.
