Advancing health and health care through citizen engagement
Effective health research drives positive changes in health outcomes and the healthcare system. But these changes must be equitable and accessible to all.
On April 4, join the 2022 Gairdner Wightman Award winner, Dr. Deborah J. Cook, MD, from McMaster University and Dr. Verna Yiu, MD, Interim Provost and Vice-President (Academic) from the University of Alberta for a discussion on how health and health care can be improved through citizen engagement. Hear from these distinguished scholars and others on their experiences in the constantly changing landscapes of health and health care.
Call for abstracts from postdoctoral scholars:
- Abstract submission deadline: February 24, 2023 by 4:00 p.m. MST
- Review call for abstracts here.
More details to come.
We will offer a selection of complimentary food for the morning and lunch, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. A note on our effort to reduce food waste: While we understand some situations necessitate last-minute cancellations, please let us know if you can no longer attend by March 24 so we can update catering orders.

- Affiliation
- Topic or question you would want to discuss
