Dr. Nada Jabado is a Professor of Pediatrics and Human Genetics at McGill University and a pediatric neuro-oncologist at the Montreal Children's Hospital.

She completed her pediatric residency with a specialization in hemato-oncology and obtained a Ph.D. in Immunology from the Université de Paris VI. Following a postdoctoral fellowship in biochemistry at McGill University, she began her independent research career in 2003 at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre.

Dr. Jabado's pioneering work has significantly advanced the understanding of pediatric brain tumors. Her research group was among the first to identify histone mutations in human disease, revealing that pediatric high-grade astrocytomas are molecularly and genetically distinct from adult tumors.

She has received numerous awards, including the William E. Rawls Prize from the Canadian Cancer Society in 2011, the Dr. Chew Wei Memorial Prize in Cancer Research from the University of British Columbia in 2020, and the Robert L. Noble Prize from the Canadian Cancer Society in 2021. In 2024, she was named the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Laureate for North America.
