Guillaume Paré

Dr. Guillaume Paré is a Professor of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University, where he also serves as a Professor in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact.
Dr. Paré is the Director of the Clinical Research Laboratory and Biobank (CRLB) – Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology Laboratory (GMEL) and Deputy Director of the Thrombosis and Atherosclerosis Research Institute (TaARI). He is a University Scholar at McMaster University and a medical biochemist certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Paré's research focuses on combining high-throughput biomarker screening with genetics, bioinformatics, and epidemiology to identify novel cardio-metabolic biomarkers. He has published over 250 original contributions in peer-reviewed journals and his work has been cited over 35,000 times.
In recognition of his contributions to cardiovascular genetics and biomarker development, Dr. Paré was inducted into the Royal Society of Canada's College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists in 2018. He continues to lead research efforts aimed at advancing personalized medicine through the integration of laboratory analyses and clinical practice.
