How To Nominate
The reputation of the Canada Gairdner Awards rests on the quality of the scientists who are nominated and the decisions made by our adjudication committees. We encourage new nominations from anywhere in the world at any time.
The deadline for the 2017 prizes is October 1, 2016. Nominations received after the October 1 deadline will be considered for 2018. All nominations are held for up to 3 years, but should be updated annually.
Seven awards are given each year: five Canada Gairdner International Awards, one John Dirks Canada Gairdner Global Health Award, and one Canada Gairdner Wightman Award.
Gairdner welcomes nominations in three categories. For specific nominating guidelines for each award category, please visit the individual "How to Nominate" pages listed on the side bar or through the links below.

Nominations for 2017, must be received by October 1, 2016. This is a strict deadline. Nominations received after this date will be considered the following year.
